Turn Your Home Equity Into Financial Flexibility.

Whether you’re doing home improvements or looking for creative ways to pay off your mortgage faster, FNBA’s FlexFirst HELOC™ gives you a flexible way to fund your project and keep your money working for you.

FlexFirst HELOC™: A First Lien Home Equity Line of Credit

Put Your Equity to Work – Every Day

With a traditional mortgage, your balance decreases based on a fixed monthly payment schedule –  slowly chipping away at your balance over decades. The FlexFirst HELOC™ works differently, connecting your home financing to your everyday cash flow. It replaces your traditional mortgage and integrates directly with an FNBA checking account, so every dollar of extra income you earn automatically reduces your outstanding balance. The result is a home loan that responds to your financial life in real time, not on a fixed schedule set years ago.

Finance home improvements. Access funds when you need them. Potentially decrease the amount of interest paid over time and pay your home off faster.

One Account, Zero Wasted Potential

How the FlexFirst HELOC™ Works

The FlexFirst HELOC™ combines your primary home loan and a revolving home equity line of credit into a single, intelligent account – built around an automatic sweep feature that other lenders simply don’t offer.

1

Your money goes in.

Deposit your paycheck or any funds you receive into your linked FNBA checking account.

2

Your balance goes down.

At the end of each day, funds remaining in the checking account after expenses are paid are automatically swept to reduce your HELOC balance – potentially reducing the principal you’re paying interest on.

3

Your equity stays accessible.

Need to cover an expense? Simply use the debit card attached to HELOC. While you have access to the HELOC – spend, pay bills, deposit funds just like you would in a normal checking account.

When your income exceeds your expenses, the FlexFirst HELOC™ puts the excess to work against your outstanding balance, helping you reduce your principal and potentially pay less interest over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a FlexFirst HELOC™?
O
P

A FlexFirst HELOC™ is a first-lien home equity line of credit (HELOC) that replaces your primary mortgage. It includes an integrated checking account with an automatic “sweep” feature that applies your deposits to your loan balance every day. If you consistently bring in more than you spend, this can help you pay off your home faster and reduce the total interest you pay over the life of the loan.

Is the interest rate fixed or variable?
O
P

Variable. Your rate is based on the 30-Day Average SOFR (Secured Overnight Financing Rate), so it can rise or fall with market conditions.

How does the sweep work?
O
P

When your paycheck and other deposits go into your linked checking account, any money left at the end of each day is automatically “swept” out and applied to your loan. Your checking account resets to a $0 balance daily.

If you need to pay a bill or make a purchase, you can use your debit card or checks associated with your account. The sweep automatically draws from your available HELOC credit to cover it. That adds to your loan balance, but because your income keeps flowing back in, your balance can stay lower overall. Watch a short video to see how it works.

How does my cash flow help me pay off my home faster?
O
P

It comes down to what’s left over. When all your income goes into your linked checking account, the difference between what your household earns and what it spends goes toward your principal after interest. A bigger surplus means a faster payoff. A smaller surplus means a slower one. If you spend more than you bring in, your balance will increase.

How is the FlexFirst HELOC™ structured?
O
P

The FlexFirst HELOC™ has two phases:

Draw period: You’re responsible for escrow and interest-only payments and can draw, repay, and draw again up to your available credit limit.

Repayment period: Your loan shifts to a fully amortized repayment schedule with principal, interest, and escrow payments due monthly, and the line is no longer available to draw from.
