First National Bank of America’s Loan Servicing Team is looking for a professional, friendly, and highly organized Administrative Assistant with excellent communication skills and a friendly, warm demeanor. This position will provide support to all of First National’s Operations at our office at 2525 Showtime Dr.

This role involves greeting visitors, scheduling meetings, ordering office supplies, coordinating luncheons, and performing other clerical tasks to ensure smooth office operations.  The Administrative Assistant will interact with visitors, employees, delivery drivers and staff at our Lansing office, often as a first point of contact. A positive attitude and people skills will be critical to making a great first impression on our visitors!

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors, mail carriers and employees with a friendly greeting upon arrival and departure
  • Clean and upkeep common areas of the 2525 Showtime Dr Location
  • Order and stock office supplies for employees
  • Plan off-site meetings for management
  • Coordinate on-site lunches for meetings
  • Onboarding assistance for new employees
  • Performs other job duties assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to the above-mentioned responsibilities

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Research, verify chain of title, and draft real estate loan release documents to ensure compliance standards are met and collateral is accurately released
  • Preparation of Warranty and Quit Claim deeds and required state forms for recording
  • Timely correction of errors and rejected documents received from recording authorities
  • Release of mobile home titles
  • Release of abstracts
  • Renew or release UCC filings as appropriate
  • Preparation of final release documents to be mailed to customers including escrow refunds, final invoice and escrow analysis
  • Daily completion of worklist items
  • Track releases to ensure documents are recorded and returned

Qualifications:

  • Excellent critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and follow-through

First National Bank of America is seeking an organized & efficient Mortgage Loan Closer to join our Residential Closing Team. This role will work closely with our sales team, our customers and title companies, all of which will rely on you to be organized, accurate and approachable. The Mortgage Loan Closer role will require an individual to be accommodating while adhering to necessary guidelines in a consistent, professional manner. The daily responsibilities will include; preparing closing documents for our customers, balance funding amounts with title companies, ensure loan conditions have been satisfied and issuing funds to settlement agencies. A successful Mortgage Loan Closer will thrive at multi-tasking, have great attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills. The ability to effectively communicate with others through written or verbal methods is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Draw and release closing documents to the designated Closing Agent 
  • Updating, reviewing and validating loan data to ensure loan documents are accurate and compliant
  • Review signed loan documents to verify completed, signed and dated as required 
  • Authorize the release of funds to the borrower 
  • Cross train in other Closing positions

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years mortgage industry experience preferred but not required
  • Encompass Loan Origination System experience a plus  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work consistently against required time-lines

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with loan partners preparing loan documents, update status of loan files and answer questions about loan conditions
  • Examine loan disclosures and documentation for accuracy and completeness, work with loan origination partners and lender processing staff to secure all required documents needed to purchase the loan
  • Reviews and clears conditions of the loan approval
  • Review and evaluates information on mortgage loan application to ensure accuracy and completeness, validate findings to determine that all information matches
  • Stays current with industry requirements and standards through various training opportunities, as well as current loan products
  • Meet all departmental goals for productivity, quality, and turnaround time
  • Remain up to date and knowledgeable on all of FNBA’s policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Bank and Regulatory guidelines
  • Demonstrates experience in federal consumer lending regulations (TILA, RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, and other protection laws and regulations)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced operations center while practicing sound lending judgment
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms

  • Guide your clients through our loan process and gain referrals
  • Serve as the liaison between our operations team, your client and their realtor
  • Manage your pipeline to ensure on-time closings
  • Maintain monthly quotas
  • Stay accountable to your team and supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in mortgage sales or processing, demonstrating a well-developed understanding of the mortgage process
  • Solid customer service and relationship-building skills
