Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Analyst

The role requires a compliance minded individual who can effectively interpret data and create insightful reports for the purpose of BSA Risk Analysis. The BSA Analyst will use their strong analytical and technical skills to complete monthly, quarterly, and annual BSA department review tasks as needed and prepare data analysis for annual risk assessment reports. The ideal candidate will possess sound and accurate judgement and problem solving with proven ability in critical thinking and attention to detail.
The BSA Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance efforts by analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and ensuring that our data management practices comply with relevant regulations. Additionally, the BSA Analyst will assist the BSA Supervisor in the development, implementation and maintenance of department information, analytics, and reporting framework. This role requires the ability to stay well organized with the aptitude to manage multiple tasks and work within time sensitive deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Expand the Verafin Administrator Role to include the primary account contact responsibility which involves coordination with Verafin Customer Success Manager and oversight of updates, enhancements, and training opportunities
- Oversee annual model governance testing of the BSA/AML fraud monitoring software risk agent review, validation, and other testing
- Prepare data analysis for annual BSA risk assessment reports
- Compile and organize data for annual OCC-MLR report
- Assemble data and create reports as needed to further promote department efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with BSA/AML regulations and industry best practices to ensure the organization remains fully compliant with both banking and government regulations
- Demonstrate advanced Excel skills, including the use of functions, formulas, and pivot tables, to complete tasks with precision
Qualifications:
- General financial services or regulatory agency experience with an emphasis in Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Compliance, or Operations, or equivalent level of education and experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel
- Proven drive for continuous learning and personal development
- An understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and experience with Verafin Financial Crime Management platform preferred but not required
- A knowledge of and experience supporting BSA/AML initiatives, including sanctions (OFAC) screening preferred but not required
- A financial services background with working knowledge of Jack Henry Core Banking Software preferred but not required
- Experience working with Cognos and/or SQL preferred but not required

Collections Supervisor (12PM-9PM Shift)
Lansing, MichiganFirst National Bank of America is looking for an influential and goal-oriented Collections Supervisor to join the Collections team. This role will manage the daily operations of the collections department and motivate our collectors to achieve exceptional results when contacting customers with past-due mortgage accounts.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

- 3 years' JavaScript or equivalent work-based experience with Encompass Web
- 3 years’ experience working with Windows and hosted solutions such as Office 365
- Capacity to build custom input forms using advance coding

- Regularly evaluate and improve best training practices that include, but are not limited to, eLearning (LMS modules), instructor led training (ILT) (PPT presentations) and alternative learning solutions
- Develop and organize training manuals, policies and procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials
- Consult with Subject Matter Experts as needed when developing new training curriculum
- Contribute to the overall success of the residential lending team by identifying ways to continuously improve the learning process

Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience with mortgage lending preferred
- 2+ years’ experience training implementation and delivery experience both live and virtually
- Experience working within a Loan Origination System – Encompass is preferred
- Expert user in Microsoft Office Suite including Power Point, Visio and Teams
- Knowledge of teaching and training principles, practices and procedures including being adept at getting and maintaining attention/involvement of classroom training as well as remote training
- Experience using Learning Management Systems to develop and/or deploy content
- Knowledge of principles and methods of curriculum development, training design and measurement of training effectiveness
