Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of related experience in banking or a similar field
  • Detailed knowledge of banking regulations

This position encompasses all aspects of the credit underwriting process including financial statement analysis, statement spreading for business customers and the preparation of credit memos for submission to the Bank's loan committees. This person will work closely with both commercial lenders and the loan documentation staff. Training for financial analysis, statement spreading, and credit analysis will be provided as needed.   ​ 

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and analyze data on prospective and active borrowing relationships. Work with commercial lenders on their credit memos for presentation to loan committee for approval.
  • Complete annual reviews to evaluate and maintain proper risk ratings for the existing portfolio.
  • Provide thorough documentation of all financial analysis work, including ratios and other related information, and ensure that all credit analysis activities are conducted in accordance with loan policy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting personal and business financial statements and tax return is preferred
  • 2- 3 years’ experience in a credit analyst role is preferred
  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize workflows
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in establishing and maintaining working relationships, problem solving, while delivering a high level of accuracy, focus, and timeliness
  • Intermediate level technology proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel is required

Risk Manager

First National Bank of America is seeking a collaborative and analytical Risk Manager to join the Risk Management Team. The role will require an individual with a talent of understanding the business needs and assisting in the creation of a streamlined risk management program that mitigates risk while keeping the business nimble. The Risk Manager will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer and be an integral part of the FNBA Risk Management team.

Practically, the Risk Manager will work closely with our front-line business production functions to help align compliance, internal audit and risk management activities to the bank’s overall risk appetite.  The position will be instrumental in supporting, as well as further developing FNBA’s risk management and internal control governance structure within the “three lines of defense” model. 

The immediate focus will be on configuring risk management activities in our GRC platform.  This includes associating the bank’s business process risks and controls, assessments, and assets to programmatic records such as audits and compliance reviews.

The second strategic goal will be to leverage those associations to summarize enterprise risk and focus mitigation efforts on high-risk areas.  Data visualizations, dashboards, and reports will be developed in order to fulfill the risk department’s duty to monitor and report on enterprise risk. 

Responsibilities

Risk Management

  • Directly assist the Chief Risk Officer in the development, implementation and maintenance of management information, analysis and reporting framework throughout the entity
  • Identify and track key risk metrics related to the bank’s risk appetite and provide ongoing reporting related to the risk appetite
  • Oversee the process of all risk reporting for the Board of Directors

Model Risk Management

  • Oversee the assessment of new resources to classify them as tools or models and the review of mitigating activities performed by business units to reduce the risks inherent in the bank’s models
  • Maintain documentation of vendor due diligence and risk management review of risks and controls
  • Maintain the program records in the GRC system

Vendor Management

  • Oversee the initial risk review assessments on new vendor relationships based on services being provided and potential risk areas identified
  • Develop strong relationships with business unit managers to ensure understanding of key vendor risk areas
  • Manage, perform, and monitor assessments & due diligence documentation for vendor relationships
  • Leverage the vendor software recently purchased by the Bank to facilitate an efficient risk management process and experience for vendor owners

Qualifications:

  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills to effectively serve as a senior thought leader in the enterprise
  • Ability to network and influence others and work with senior stakeholders
  • Interpersonal skills must be developed sufficiently to enable smooth implementation of process and regulatory changes
