- Prepare data analysis for annual BSA risk assessment reports
- Compile and organize data for annual OCC-MLR report
- Assemble data and create reports as needed to further promote department efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with BSA/AML regulations and industry best practices to ensure the organization remains fully compliant with both banking and government regulations
- Demonstrate advanced Excel skills, including the use of functions, formulas, and pivot tables, to complete tasks with precision
Qualifications:
- General financial services or regulatory agency experience with an emphasis in Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Compliance, or Operations, or equivalent level of education and experience

Senior Accountant
East Lansing, MichiganFirst National Bank of America is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the Accounting Department. This role is responsible for performing month-end processes, including posting accruals, prepaid expenses, and depreciation to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to provide an accurate presentation of monthly and annual financial reports. The Senior Accountant will prepare necessary entries to record financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner, including preparing monthly analysis/reconciliations of various accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, time management and a high level of ownership
Responsibilities:
- Prepare audit work papers and supporting schedules for the annual and financial statement audits
- Perform overall reasonableness tests and other procedures necessary to verify data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly regulatory reporting.
- Contribute to gathering information for leadership and management for information or analysis.
- Assist in the preparation and payment of state and federal taxes.
- Support the annual profit plan process for projections of income and expenditures.
- Apply accounting principles and guidance to internal banking procedures to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Financial institution experience preferred
- External audit or tax experience a plus
- Knowledge of Great Plains and Jack Henry 20/20 or Silverlake preferred
- Must possess a desire to learn programs/processes
- Ability to build and sustain positive and effective relationships with others

Senior Internal Auditor
East Lansing, MichiganFirst National Bank of America is seeking a highly organized Senior Auditor to join the internal audit team. The Senior Internal Auditor is a crucial member in the Bank’s effort to identify and communicate risks affecting the organization. First National believes that three talents make great auditors. First, they must have a natural curiosity that drives them to understand the details about whichever process they are assessing. This means they must be excellent listeners and great questioners. Secondly, they must not lose sight of key principles or the larger picture despite those details. Lastly, the auditor must be able to distinguish actual risk from what may be perceived. The willingness and ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization is necessary in this position. Responsibilities
- Supervision of audit projects including planning, data collection, interviewing, completion and review of workpapers, and report writing
- Provide guidance and training to staff with less experience
- Facilitate testing of financial statement controls and compliance with FDICIA requirements
- Communicates audit results to various stakeholders as necessary
- Ensure follow up reviews on audit report findings are completed
- Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding Internal Audit and Banking
Qualifications:
- 3+ years' experience that aligns with the job responsibilities will be considered, examples of which may include:
- Prior experience in internal or external auditing
- Experience managing projects from start to finish
- Internal control development, review, or testing
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
- Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Office and databases
- Strong relationship building skills
- Prior experience in Financial Services is a plus
