Shift: Our servicing hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-9pm, and Saturday from 9am-3pm. Given the department hours, afternoon shift is an integral part of the role. Some evening and Saturday hours will be required.

The Senior BSA Investigative Analyst reports directly to the BSA Supervisor and will be an integral part of the FNBA Risk Management team. The position requires an individual with a curious nature and a talent of identifying and investigating red flags related to suspicious activity. Furthermore, the individual should have a strong desire to provide leadership and guidance to other members of the investigative team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking, independent work ethic, confidentiality, adaptability and sound organization and time management.

  Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end BSA investigations by applying investigative techniques and sound judgment to assess case facts and determine appropriate SAR filings or non-filing justifications, ensuring full compliance with banking regulations and internal controls
  • Draft, review, and submit SARs in accordance with FinCEN guidelines and filing timelines, ensuring quality and accuracy in all submissions
  • Oversee daily cash report reviews and file CTR’s as applicable
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for fraud analysts and specialists and provide cross coverage for BSA Fraud Analyst tasks as needed
  • Stay current on regulatory changes, fraud trends, industry best practices, detection techniques, and emerging threats
  • Complete required training and proactively pursue continuing education related to fraud, AML, and financial crime risk management.

Qualifications:

  • A thorough understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and experience with Verafin Financial Crime Management platform
  • 2+ years of experience conducting BSA investigations with accuracy in SAR escalations
  • 2+ years of experience writing SAR narratives and filing SARs
  • 1+ years of acceptable QC results regarding SAR Considered dispositions
  • Strong Excel or database skills

Responsibilities:

  • Draw and release closing documents to the designated Closing Agent 
  • Updating, reviewing and validating loan data to ensure loan documents are accurate and compliant
  • Review signed loan documents to verify completed, signed and dated as required 
  • Authorize the release of funds to the borrower 
  • Cross train in other Closing positions

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years mortgage industry experience preferred but not required
  • Encompass Loan Origination System experience a plus  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work consistently against required time-lines

First National Bank of America is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Mortgage Specialist to join the HMDA/CRA team. The Mortgage Specialist position performs various HMDA and CRA related tasks pertaining to the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and the Community Reinvestment Act to ensure the bank’s compliance efforts are maintained on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound and accurate judgement, critical thinking, adaptability and strong time management.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and maintain current knowledge of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) regulations
  • Have the ability to learn the different origination systems the bank utilizes in regards to complying with HMDA and CRA
  • Perform daily review of loan files to ensure information is reported accurately on the HMDA LAR including determining if the loan files reviewed are to be reported for HMDA
  • Assist the HMDA/CRA Supervisor in quarterly tasks as necessary
  • Ensure that errors related to HMDA and CRA reporting are corrected in the necessary systems the bank utilizes for HMDA and CRA reporting
  • Ensure that all records are properly entered into the HMDA software applications
  • Continue to build proficiency of HMDA and CRA regulations through bank offered training

Qualifications:

  • One year of general banking or regulatory agency experience with an emphasis in loan compliance, or equivalent level of education and experience preferred
  • Well organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to time sensitive deadlines
  • Comfortable with both collaborating with other analysts and working independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to communicate issues and errors to different departments when needed
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs with a strong emphasis on Excel

The Residential Loan Funder and Booker will work closely with Title on closed loan document review.  This role ensures the borrower(s) have provided, signed and dated all required documents for the loan closing.  This role will require an individual to communicate with Title, adhering to guidelines in a consistent, professional manner.  A successful Residential Loan Funder and Booker will thrive at multi-tasking, have great attention to detail, and exceptional follow-up skills.   • Fund transactions by verifying properly executed and signed documents, including the CD, Note and Mortgage or Deed of Trust, within 15 minutes of receipt. Ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness of loan documents.
  • Assisting borrower with Hybrid esign portion of closing doc package as needed
  • Uploading funding docs to specific RCP folders in Encompass within 24 hours of receipt of package – maintaining a 95% 24 hr booking accuracy rate.
  • Cross train in other Closing positions
